Running services in a single trench

Hi there.

Looking at building on a hammerhead block in Metro Adelaide (see pic).

We've had plans done, engineering etc. and have estimates from different builders on price. Currently weighing up who to go with.

We've had some variance in the quote to run power from the house to the automatic gate/intercom. Some builders have said they will run a separate trench to utilities and some have said they could likely use the same trench as mains power.

I can't find any regs on trenching and utilities for residential builds.

What's the go with running utilities and other cables together? We're having: Mains power, Sewer, stormwater and assuming NBN. Could we run power and comms with conduits in the same trench spaced out?

I'd say write an email to both builders and ask specific questions.
While waiting for a reply ask your local council and an electrician.

Yep you can run it all in the trench spaced out. It is in all the appropriate standard documents. Trench is 600mm deep for power. The rest is installed above with appropriate spacing

Yep I'm doing this thanks. Builders are slooow right now especially with potential customers.

I'll check with council in the meantime for some standards.
