Building A New House

I am building on a zero lot in Austral and when I told the builder that I want the side fence to run alongside the garage wall, they put a 50mm setback to body of wall from boundary line.
Now that the neighbour is about to have the fence installed, my builder is saying that they wouldn't recommend having the fence alongside the garage wall because it will interfere with the annual termite inspection. In return, it will void the termite warranty.
Is that the case?
They say it's my choice.
I spoke with a termite inspection company and they said that there won't be any issues with inspection.
Don't know who to believe.

it's going to be hard to inspect, and more importantly it's going to be hard too keep that area clean of any debris or food for termites, and it will provide a nice shaded area for them to cross the termite barrier.
but it won't be impossible to inspect, just means they would have to use a flashlight or a camera to look in there.
my personal preference is not to have fence there, and just join the fence to the each side of the garage wall instead. you'd have to get the neighbor to agree to that though.
