I have a rental property that I would like to improve by adding some indoor/outdoor flow and I am struggling to come up with ideas - I have included below the current floorplan and one option which I am considering. The house is double brick with internal brick walls.
I would like to connect the living areas with the patio area better - currently the access from indoor to outdoor is either through the laundry or through the small corridor which leads to the alfresco.
I suspect that in the past there was a sliding door adjacent the meals area, but it was removed when an ensuite and additional master/family area was added.
I have included one option floorplan in the attachments - this would probably be a bit of structural work as some outdoor walls need to be removed, but it involves the existing kitchen sink bench being converted to an island and a bifold door being installed top to bottom as you can see.
Would be interested in any other ideas! I am even toying with the idea of removing the added ensuite all together, but I am not convinced this is the right thing to do, as my overall goal is to make it attractive for rental.
