Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 02, 2022 1:29 am Hi all, Apologies in advance, I work in a completely different field so some of the jargon will be new to me but will be 100% ready to get down and dirty to learn. We're building our first house, a double storey with Henley in Vic. Construction is underway and they have just installed the flooring for upstairs (first floor frame hasn't been put in yet so we can basically move around freely). Hoping to receive some advice in regards to preventing squeaky floors down the track. Would it be worth visiting Bunnings to get extra screws and put in a few myself? I can follow the lines of existing ones and since no cables have been wired we can pretty much go all out. If so, what kind of screws would you recommend? Cheers! Before they put carpet or laminate they have a person came with lag screws and screw the hack out of the floor. So best u ask your PM. Sam There is a much stronger glue than liquid nails. It's called T Rex and will stick your timber to the concrete.
