Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 30, 2022 9:04 pm Hi Guys, I am currently in the process of building a new house on a vacant block. The estate of which I am building in is not new by any means but was developed in ~2008. The builders have contacted me stating that AusNet are unable to allow connection to the existing pit located on the boundary between my neighbor on the footpath. They are stating that the pit is a sole use pit for the neighboring property. Every house on the street if not the estate currently has a pit in the same location on the boundary for the two houses its located on so I am quite baffled as to why AusNet has stated this. I have gone back to AusNet to question this however they keep palming off the issue without any other explanation and that I will need to apply for a new pit to be installed. I've gone over the Section 32 from when I purchased the block back in 2015 however unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any information regarding this. Any advice would be much appreciated.
