Shine is like a cross between matt and gloss. We also got the same floor tile in the laundry and bathrooms. It is a seamless look for the whole house. We don't find it slippery under the alfresco or the front porch either. Our porch and alfresco were poured with the house slab and therefor engineered the same (E/P slab) and no big drop to allow for the weep holes. Very happy with outcome.
