Any advise is greatly appreciated Thanks Make sure all correspondence is in writing as slabs/footings happen very quickly and homeowners always get caught out steps 1. Have up to date amended/certified plans and engineering, clear instructions and timelines make sure instructions are communicated carefully to all parties. 2. Here the slab inspection guys are engineers.. they carry the most clout onsite and are licensed to deal with non compliance and alternate solutions.. should it eventuate 3. try to be there for the important inspections, they will explain what they are and how they are preformed. 4. If the inspection is following a prepared builder script.. test them for cover ups 5.Stop or postpone the pour until rectification has taken place and has been certified 6.Put the builder and concretor on notice "If the concrete is poured before it's checked again the day of the pour you will instruct your engineer to scan the slab, recommend and supervise repairs at their expense. 7.8.9 etc LOL...MAKE SURE YOU SHOW THEM THE PROCESS/ SCANNER (You mean business.., the look on their face is priceless) I will put up further information when I have time.
