Looking for some advice on how to escalate a dispute with the Council (Hills Shire) for our DA in North Kellyville.
We have purchased a corner block which has an existing layback on the side (minor) street. We would prefer to relocate the driveway to the primary street frontage, however council have rejected it as we are less than 6m to the corner tangent point which means it does not meet the respective Australian Standard or Council Guidelines.

There are many other examples of properties in the suburb that have done exactly what we propose, however council have ignored that evidence and asked for a Traffic Engineer Report.
Has anyone got first hand experience with a similar request? Any advice would be appreciated.
