I thought as much - he's technically not incorrect when he says he doesn't issue the invoice, but he triggers it to be raised so it can be issued, so it's all a semantics game. He could just be straight with me and explain what is left to do, and why he is seeking the invoice now. I'm actually more likely to accept his explanation and work with him to ensure payments are made. At the same time, I've got no doubt that he's under pressure from head office to speed things up and put the thumb on his subs. With the brick work, though, it's somewhat out of his control as its been raining a lot on and off & causing delays. I sometimes wonder if part of it might be - he sees me as someone in their 50s that won't know what is going on.
