Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 20, 2022 12:44 am Bit of an odd one - hoping someone can help. We are choosing door hardware for our new build. Where we are living during our KDR is less than 4 years old and the door handles are really noisy. It's weird, and we probably wouldn't care if it weren't for trying to get a toddler (and a second next year) to sleep. The doors are hollow (Hume HAG9 with Gainsborough lever set) The house we knocked down was really old, had turn handles and was really quiet. I am pretty sure that door was hollow. What do you think causes it? Door type/construction? Handle Type? Or just new handles built cheaper and needing maintenance/lubrication? Is there a range anyone would recommend?
