Re: Building with BBH - Independent Inspections 8Mar 14, 2022 11:09 am they should really get rid of that clause * we are building with them too*, of course SS has a bunch of reasons as to why it exists, but at the end of day, clarendon and other builders all have their own inspectors and STILL allow clients to engage their own inspectors, without having it delay the build, or requiring payment. I would say its an unfair contract clause. Re: Building with BBH - Independent Inspections 9Mar 14, 2022 12:17 pm Interested in what reasons Better Built Homes' supervisor provides for the company's policy of discouraging private quality inspections? I would say its an unfair contract clause. Agree. It fits the criteria that defines an unfair contract clause under Australian Consumer Law and should be reported to the ACCC but why even consider engaging a builder who disrespects their client's legal right to engage their own agent in the role of private building consultant? 3in1 Supadiverta. I do enjoy watching that tik tok inspector from Victoria but he does go a little… 12 81884 It is true that a builder can ignore your independent inspection report as it is not part of the contractual arrangement but that is stupid because he cannot avoid fixing… 9 46854 |
