Our neighbour built with them and they were pretty quick! Quality is superb! Their only complaint was the pre-contract duration... very long. Looking forward to more photos! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping! Re: My Simonds Millbank 2900 .. New Outside pics added 30 Jan 11 8Oct 20, 2008 8:56 pm coles ?? alreadyy? congrats.. i have a friend who built with simonds too.. it was devastating for them.. well done with a "crappy" builder, no offense! wonderful Lols. Yes already done, sorry to hear about your friend & Simonds, we have had no such problems, they have been more than helpful with anything we have asked, Our first CSO was a bit of an idiot but he has since left, he just did not know anything when we asked him, our new one is much better, and we soon learnt just to call our site super who was fantastic. I dont know how it is in Melbourne, and have heard bad things but dealling with mainly the Geelong office, they have all been great here. We have a son with Autism and they were always willing to let us take him through the house anytime so he can get used to the idea of the move before we just spring it on him, and anytime we noticed something was wrong our SS was straight on it to fix it then and there. VJ Our pre construction was .... we first signed a quote end of Feb, April we did the colours at the gallery etc and end of June for our site scrape, we were in no rush so did not find it to bad, mind you we did not think it would be ready already already, our contract (220 days) is up in early Jan Here are a couple more from the front, I have very few from inside since Lock Up as we could not get in, but i will take them tomorrow once i have the keys Once the drive was done, before the doors were done Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ With the garage door on and the kerb has been cut ready for the crossover part of the driveway Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: My Simonds Millbank 2900 .. We got the keys to ours today We are not moving just yet, but can get inside anytime we need now, maybe a few weeks time. Oven, rangehood etc all gets done on Thursday so when I post the pics of the kitchen they are still not in yet. Blinds also get installed on Thursday. Since the wooden floors went in the photos only, not in real life it looks like the wall colour is different, changes the walls in the photos to a red tone, will try and take some tomorrow with different settings, did not take front outside pics yet as it was raining and also we are getting the fences replaced today so lots of guys were out the front when we were there and i did not want to get them in the shots. here is what I got so far..... Our ensuite Kitchen, family area, mind the funny colours from the floorboards, the walls are actually the same colour as in the whole house but you would not think it from these pics. The kids bathroom Forgot to add, the Thank you gift from Simonds We expected a bottle of wine or box of chocolates but this is what we got Hubby calls it our expensive coffee plunger etc. When we showed his Mum he told her we paid Simonds just for this set ..... the house was just a bonus Re: My Simonds Millbank 2900 .. New Outside pics added 30 Jan 11 16Oct 21, 2008 9:37 pm i really like your colour choice, it looks very good.
Is Sim@nds doing the flooring as well? and i love your feature tiles in the bathroom too Oh forgot to add, the coffee set looks lovely Blog - http://clageonewhouse.blogspot.com/ Building Thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=10886&hilit=milan I am in, with my husband and my beautiful bunny Re: My Simonds Millbank 2900 .. Is Sim@nds doing the flooring as well? and i love your feature tiles in the bathroom too Oh forgot to add, the coffee set looks lovely Yes Sim@nds did the wood flooring and the carpet also, we got quotes from them at the gallery and then also from a couple of flooring places and it was cheaer through Simonds! So we though just as easy to get them to do it! Re: My Simonds Millbank 2900 .. New Outside pics added 30 Jan 11 20Oct 24, 2008 6:46 am woodsey Congrats on getting the keys, how exciting!!! so when do you think you'll move in?? Love the colors We are waiting for the sale of this house we are in to go unconditional so probably 2 weeks or so. Our applainces were meant to be fitted yesterday, but unfortunately all the 900m ovens are on backorder with teknica and there are a few houses that are backing up, so we asked our SS yesterday if I can just get a credit for it and buy some different 900m from the same place they get theirs from and pay the difference rather than hold it up, our CSO says might be able to but she is checking with the " higher powers " today. I really did not like the teknica brand and was going to change to the fisher & paykel type i have now once i got a few years use out of this one so to change it before hand would be a bonus, but i think they will say we just have to wait, as i am sure they have a deal with Teknica as when we first asked about other brands they said they could not change brands. he main problem is the model in our contract (and lots more peoples ) is no longer the current model LOL. But the plumber still did the rangehood and hot water yesterday, we had the blind people in to instal them, it looks much different with blinds!!! I will get some photos on Monday, we also had the fences finshed yesterday ......Woo Hoo!!!! When you get a chance watch the last couple of videos. The cracks are pretty bad, it's almost as though he hasn't put any reo in that corner and hasn't compacted/levelled… 2 3358 Hi All, We are building in Maitland and considering between Vision Homes or New Edge Homes (part of Masterton).
