One of my friends is using the teknica 900mm freestanding and he said ok.. so i hope it is not too bad Blog - http://clageonewhouse.blogspot.com/ Building Thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=10886&hilit=milan I am in, with my husband and my beautiful bunny Re: My Simonds Millbank 2900 .. New Outside pics added 30 Jan 11 22Oct 25, 2008 7:03 pm Miss Piggy woodsey Congrats on getting the keys, how exciting!!! so when do you think you'll move in?? Love the colors We are waiting for the sale of this house we are in to go unconditional so probably 2 weeks or so. Our applainces were meant to be fitted yesterday, but unfortunately all the 900m ovens are on backorder with teknica and there are a few houses that are backing up, so we asked our SS yesterday if I can just get a credit for it and buy some different 900m from the same place they get theirs from and pay the difference rather than hold it up, our CSO says might be able to but she is checking with the " higher powers " today. I really did not like the teknica brand and was going to change to the fisher & paykel type i have now once i got a few years use out of this one so to change it before hand would be a bonus, but i think they will say we just have to wait, as i am sure they have a deal with Teknica as when we first asked about other brands they said they could not change brands. he main problem is the model in our contract (and lots more peoples ) is no longer the current model LOL. But the plumber still did the rangehood and hot water yesterday, we had the blind people in to instal them, it looks much different with blinds!!! I will get some photos on Monday, we also had the fences finshed yesterday ......Woo Hoo!!!! Did they get back to you about wherea they will credit it or not? how annoying!! You'd think the problems stop onces your at the stage you are!! Re: My Simonds Millbank 2900 .. New Outside pics added 30 Jan 11 23Oct 25, 2008 9:10 pm Congratulations Miss Piggy. You have a lovely home and it's great that you had a wonderful experience with your builder! Nice flooring you have! Normally it's more expensive to do your flooring with the builder... but in your case, it's the other way around! Good on you! Enjoy your house! I'm sure you'll be very busy for the next few weeks... but don't forget to post some photos when you're ready... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping! Yes they think they have got an oven from melbourne for us, we will know tomorrow, if not we will just get the credit and buy the one I want but it would be easier if they found one, I have so much on this week, I will just change from the if they get one in a year or so once we have settled in. Either way I dont mind, I will be there tomorrow as we are getting a front security door measured up, and TV antenna is being done, so will try and get some more pics Re: My Simonds Millbank 2900 .. New Outside pics added 30 Jan 11 26Oct 26, 2008 12:06 pm Hi, your flooring kind of giving me some confident, because i am doing the flooring through them too... The driveway is not included by default, but Simonds can build it for you. We've added the driveway to our Simonds build as well. They were actually quite competitively priced per sqm. We're just getting a plain coloured concrete driveway. Re: My Simonds Millbank 2900 .. New Outside pics added 30 Jan 11 29Oct 31, 2008 3:45 pm When we signed up $imonds had a promo for the driveway inc bobcat$990, recently it was bout $1500, not sure what it is these days! worth enquiring, cause it inc a path and colour celment too (ours did!)
There in the process of laying ours l'll try and get some photos if your interested!! Re: My Simonds Millbank 2900 .. Re: My Simonds Millbank 2900 ... Almost done now 35Jan 30, 2011 1:20 pm OK well you asked so prepare for photo overload! Here is the forn of the house, since moving we obviously planted it out, put up a fence and layed grass on the nature strip, we decided as it was so small to just put in heaps of plants and no grass out front. looks different from the old photos on the first page of this thread http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c75/sionjones/Homeone%2030%20Jan%2011/001.jpg Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c75/sionjones/Homeone%2030%20Jan%2011/005.jpg Will post the backyard in a minute, mind you the lawn needs a mow Re: My Simonds Millbank 2900 ... Almost done now 36Jan 30, 2011 1:31 pm So here are the backyard pics, mind the washing on the line, and the lawn so long We have also added solar power a year or so ago thats about the only difference to when we moved in apart from the garden stuff we have attempted to grow. behind the washing line is hidden the water tank (that flushes the loos etc) and our garden shed is also there but the washing blocks it from view. Here is the pergola we built after move in, if you look at the plans on the first page of the thread it runs from the back of the garage (near the little Alfresco) all the way down to the start of the theatre room, mind you we have not got an outdoor setting yet! http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c75/sionjones/Homeone%2030%20Jan%2011/006.jpg From the end of the pergola to the back fence, looks a little barren because we ripped out the plants that we had there a couple of months back and added the raised veggie patch and have not re mulched or planted it out yet! http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c75/sionjones/Homeone%2030%20Jan%2011/007.jpg Backyard behind the house http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c75/sionjones/Homeone%2030%20Jan%2011/008.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c75/sionjones/Homeone%2030%20Jan%2011/010.jpg looking back from the line the other direction http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c75/sionjones/Homeone%2030%20Jan%2011/011.jpg Looking down the side of the house from the line, looking towards the little alfresco that leads off the main bedroom We put the gate there so if we have a BBQ and someone does not like dogs we still have somewhere she can go, we have not done much down there, put rocks down and a small garden bed, that is still half empty! http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c75/sionjones/Homeone%2030%20Jan%2011/012.jpg looking the oppisite direction, from the alfresco towards the line the black hose is just what we plug into the washing machine and it goes to water the nature strip lawn! http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c75/sionjones/Homeone%2030%20Jan%2011/015.jpg And the lask one i took is out little Alfresco from the bedroom http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c75/sionjones/Homeone%2030%20Jan%2011/013.jpg Re: My Simonds Millbank 2900 .. Almost done now 38Jan 30, 2011 6:05 pm Miss Piggy We have also added solar power a year or so ago.... House looks great Miss Piggy. Well done What do you think of your solar power? Was it worth putting in? Re: My Simonds Millbank 2900 ... Almost done now 39Jan 30, 2011 9:26 pm catjim Miss Piggy We have also added solar power a year or so ago.... House looks great Miss Piggy. Well done What do you think of your solar power? Was it worth putting in? Yes, it has cut our bill by about 1/4 or 1/3 in summer time, ours is also hooked up to the grid so they buy back any excess from us, that and i love seeing the meter roll backwards! Which happens during the day while the kids are at school, one home forget it rolling backward, 3 kids = 3 plasmas or playstation running or computers all at once! LOL but well worth it, they have better deals now than when we got it but it is good enough for now, we only got a 1kw system. I notice now Origin (who is who we had it installed by) is offering a 1.5kw system for about what we paid but you get that!
