Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 06, 2022 7:30 pm I was wondering if it’s possible to nominate a trade when building a home in Perth.. can we pour our own slab using my husbands company?? And if so, what is needing to be done to do this…? Possible ? Impossible? Re: Nominate a trade in Perth 3Feb 09, 2022 9:27 pm The industry norm is, if you're a licensed & insured trade, the builder issues you with a subbie pack for you to complete. The job is allocated to your company and you get paid by the builder as a subbie, at the standard subbie rate. If you're not available when the supervisor calls up the job the can reallocate the job to there normal guy. Defects, non-compliant not to code, you have to rectify as per normal. The norm is if you are a driveway concreter, you wont get a slab. The benefit is you can do extra quality or upgrade the items you supply as long as they meet code. Eg I the builder gives a supply and lay, where you supply labour and the concrete rare but happens, and he does 20mpa and you elect to do 25mpa you would be paid for the 20 by the builder and the upgrade is on you. BUT this needs to be discussed from the start! We are Expert Consultant's, and we are here to help. 1 11227 1 4830 1 2724 |
