Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 19, 2008 9:46 pm Hi Everyone,
I am new member of this forum. I am lucky enough to find this forum and go through its contents, which I am finding really helpful. I have brought a land and planning to build a house. Can any one suggest/guide regarding Re-establishment survey on my land as there are no defined site boundaries (Pegs) on land and whether this work can be done prior to start constricting house by builder, how much this would cost me, as the builder is charging $760. Is this wise decision to carry Re-establishment survey by builder or can I do it on my own? Thanks in advance! Regards, vsm2008 Re: Re-establishment survey on land 2Oct 19, 2008 10:00 pm Hi vsm2008
i had to get the re establishment survey done as well. i was given the option by the builder either to get it done ourselves or to get it done through the builder. I took 5 quotes and the range was between $640 to $900 including gst. our builder was charging us $770. i preferred to get it done by the builder as this seems to be a decent amount. Also the onus is on the builder and they get what they want. So, $760 sounds to me a decent and viable amount for the survey. Thanks Re: Re-establishment survey on land 4Oct 27, 2008 9:18 am always best to get the builder to do this for you...incase there are complications the onus is on the builders surveyors and not the ones who did the work for you.
