Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 03, 2022 8:40 pm Hi everyone, I am new to home builder. Our builder consultant advised us to pay $13K more in our quote for the following: 1) Adding root barriers for site works - $6300 - She says its optional but advised us to do it. I am hestitant as it is a huge sum of money. She said if we opt out of this option, we have to sign off builder's liability on our foundation defects, if any. 2) LED lights on groung floor - $6300 -She says LED on ground floor of double storey build cannot be fixed easily by external electrical. Should I believe her? Please help. Re: Should I pay extra for root barrier & LED lights ? 2Jan 03, 2022 8:48 pm I would get advice from a building inspector with the correct qualifications who will know this inside out such as this forums building expert who has a online service, don't do anything without knowing 100% . 1 6559 Hi, I had a barrier reef pool installed less that 2 years ago and the gel coat is already fading. The colour is electric grey shimmer which isn’t available… 0 3805 I’m not a structural engineer but I’m free. you still need an engineer for the plans.
