Imho, it's best not to have the driveway done before moving in to prevent removalist trucks cracking/chipping the driveway. As far as inspections it's a joke, I had to move in with 'no' running water (therefore no flushing toilets), no kitchen cabinets....the list goes on, 'but' the building inspector did a walk-through to issue an interimOC and check out the floor plan because he was building shortly and wanted to check the layout. It's not fun having to bucket water from a single outdoor tap to flush toilets, have a 'shower', use the washing machine then wash dishes in a bucket in the backyard. Hi Ali You want to time your driveway concreter at a point in your program when you can live without accessing your house a for a few days. Your plan is fine, but as I was saying the other day, just be aware that when you go over a 20% gradient, some insurers wont cover you if a visitor trips or falls. It practice though it's fine. Most certifiers in NSW wont give you a final OC ( and some wont give you an interim OC) without your driveway and landscaping in. I feel this has a been a change over the last 3-4 years.
