So I noticed before my roof went up the electrician installed my downlights electrical outlets. I checked them and they were all water logged.
I've asked Hickinbotham to replace them and they said they will test them and replace if there's an issue.
My problem is that they might test fine now but what about the element of corrosion and rust? Is this a contributing factor to premature failure?
The warranty for the downlights is 12 months but what happens if they start all failing beyond that? I mean surely they have been exposed to conditions they aren't designed for?
When asking about having an independent electrician test the outlets I was met and told with a swift and stern, "No, it will be our electrician."
Do I have any say here? Am I being reasonable or unreasonable?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thankyou in advance.
