Re: Time for DA Hornsby?2

How long is the current wait for DA approval in Hornsby shire? I hear it can be as fast as 6 weeks?
Allow 4-6 months at the moment, possibly longer.
As of the 1st July 2021 all DA's are now lodged through the NSW planning portal for a pre assessment by planning before the DA is issued to council. This is taking around 4 months on its own at the moment.
We just had a fully complying DA that we lodged on July 2nd finally accepted by Ku-ring-Gai council on Monday.
Plan for the worst and hope for the best
Good luck with your project

Pre-assessment took two days..came back wanting geologist report/assessment because slope more than 20o in some parts and an arboricultural report because building within 10 meters of a tree…currently waiting for these reports to be compiled and then re-lodge (hopefully early next week)
