Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Garage North West facing block orientation 6Oct 23, 2021 8:06 am woomrn3 Please help. I am very new to building a house and with this BOOM I was only able to get a block that is garage facing North-West direction. Thus, the living area is going to be facing South-East from my understanding. I know it is not the best orientation, but I want to make the house best from my current situation. My question is I will be building a double storie house and I get an option to put the master bedroom to the front of the house (garage side) or I can put this one to the rear so it will be facing South East direction. These are the only choices I have and wanting to ask which one will be the better solution. Thank you. Oh and this block is in Brisbane South, Queensland with the a suitable floorplan your block will be fine for a new build in Brisbane... check the excellent YourHome.gov.au website for advice about passive solar design, orientation and ideas to help make the best of your block and local climate...it also has ideas for "fixing" and avoiding problems ...having renovated in FNQ after the floor plan (size and location of rooms and windows etc ) the most important aspects are light weight construction, shading and ventilation ... avoid dark coloured walls and roof and aim for minimal unshaded hard paving and a gorgeous sub tropical garden...best of luck with your new home It might be a bit darker in the mornings but the light is still light, so you should be getting it. Similar to what you see from your western windows 3 19988 The warning is on the sticker on the door too. Second the aluminium powdercoat 6 18201 0 614 |
