My builder has used the Termimesh system, which I'm quite happy with. However, I wasn't really aware there were options until I noticed a green frame going up nearby.
I asked my SS about it and his response was: There are different Termite protection carried out by different builders. [We] use Termimesh which stops the Termites entering the home. Using “Chemically” treated timber is there to prevent Termites eating the frame but does not stop them entering the home. I feel Termimesh is better as it stops them getting in, in the first place. I certainly feel better knowing that the bare bones of my house are not soaked in chemicals. I don't know if there's a price difference.
