knock down and rebuild on the same DA

Hello,

Looking to do a knock down and rebuild. Can anyone share their experience on doing a seperate DA for the the knock down then the rebuild vs. putting it all on the one DA. Difference in cost? Did it save you time?

Thanks!
We had ours on separate approvals - demolition on its own CDC approval and the build went through the DA process.

For the demolition, the CDC cost about $1000 for the certifier fees, and it was arranged by the demo company.
