Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 28, 2021 8:08 am Hello everyone ! We are in process of a new build and I have just realised that the ensuite doesn’t have a floor waste. The ensuite has a free standing tub and also shower without the doors. The display we saw did had the floor waste and we were thinking it’s included however I have checked now and our drawings don’t have it. The open shower would be screeded. My question is that are there any regulations around having the floor waste in a bathroom ? Or it’s just good to have requirement ? Thanks ! Re: Floor Waste requirement 4Aug 21, 2022 12:07 am Hi ozshaz, How did you go with your build. Did they install the floor waste? I am building in QLD and builder told us with new regulation to slope the floor coming in effect from sept 2022, its 5k extra to add floor waste outside of shower as its not requirement to have floor waste. How do you manage overflow from bath tub without floor waste. Re: Floor Waste requirement 5Aug 21, 2022 1:24 pm NoobOB Hi ozshaz, How did you go with your build. Did they install the floor waste?
