Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 27, 2021 8:08 pm Hello everyone, Me and my wife are looking to buy our first home in Brisbane. We have come across a house and land package in Springfield rise, Spring Mountain. We checked out the suburb and it looks very good especially when compared to some of the other ones we have looked in the southside, there is a real sense of a community and family vibe which is an important factor for us. 1. However, the land size is not very big, it approx. 336sq.m (10.5m x 32m) and while we liked the plan and display home, we understand that it will be a narrow build. My concern is will building a house on narrow land have negative impact on resale and capital growth? 2. Given that its a house and land package and although the builder reviews are very good, how likely is it that the quoted construction price is going to get increased with the builder coming back with variation or things which are not allowed for? 3. Overall, your guidance in building a first home and what things should we look out for will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. If the eaves are fixed first, the eaves line is about 250 mm below the top plate of wall frame. If the cladding ie hebel stops just under the eave line, then that means… 2 56133 granny can live in the garage. just give her a few extra blankets rofl 8 35241 3 9598 |
