don't do it if you care about sound quality. Most speakers in ceilings lack the proper isolation and sound direction that dedicated speakers in properly designed cabinets provide.
That said, if you cant tell the difference in sound quality between mp3 and an original recording on a proper hard format, you can install whatever you want in your ceiling as it wont matter. There is proper audiophile grade stuff that can be installed in ceilings but it will be out of your budget due it usually being a low volume/interest product. Audiophiles generally have a much greater appreciation for the traditional set ups.
If you're just after consumer grade stuff to stream Spotify to, just get yourself a Bluetooth set up. Sonos are great quality and will come in under what a less featured, immobile in ceiling system will cost you. There's a tonne of brands to chose from too if Sonos isnt to your liking.
