I am in a dilemma on which one to for a new build in box hill , nsw. Concrete or screw piers ?
Below are the details of the site :
Site Classification : P(Design H1)
Type of construction : Articulated masonary veneet
wind classification : N2
Below is the recommendation from the structural engineer :
Concrete piers(250 KPA Min. Bearing capacity) to uniform bearing on natural strata throughout & 400MM Min Into stiff material
ALL PIERS : 4.7 - 5.0 Min Deep or natural rock - which ever is less (ALT 85KN Screw pier as per manufacturers details)
I am not sure which one to for - concrete or screw pier .
