Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 22, 2021 3:31 pm We have done a walk around our house that has had the bricking completed. We are new to building and think our bricks are not up to standard. (We will go back and check the overhang of the bricks and make sure they don’t over hang the 15mm I have now read in this forum) We seem to also be missing insulation in parts of the roof as seen in pics. We have lots more potential issues but these are the photos I have at the moment - any help would be great Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Building Regional Vic - potential brick issues 2Aug 23, 2021 3:02 pm Hi LaurenW, Welcome to the forum. You will find more information in the Guide for Standards and Tolerances on the VBA website which I have provided the link. https://www.vba.vic.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0003/134355/Guide-to-Standards-and-Tolerances-2015.pdf In the last photo, it looks like they have used a saw to cut through the bricks and slab. Is this correct? It would be money well spent to get an experienced building consultant in to check your build.
