Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 29, 2020 12:43 pm I have purchased a Home + Land package in Colebee. Met with couple of builders, They seem to have most inclusions that we liked. So signed with them recently. My land is already registered, So now just finalizing the plan and waiting for the Tender. So far the communication has been great with the builder. But its early days and I've heard lot of horrible experiences from friends and family. Fingers crossed. Being a first home buyer and building is very stressful I've found, not sure if I would recommend it to anyone and I still haven't started building. Re: Building with OpalSS Construction 3Nov 16, 2020 10:09 pm Hi curiousb, So far so good. I think they offer pretty good inclusion to start with. Access to the architect, communication has been good so far. They are going a bit slow with the CDC process with me. Make sure you get everything in writing after the sales pitch and before you sign. Which area are you building? Re: Building with OpalSS Construction 4Nov 17, 2020 6:53 am Hi ranti13 , Thank you for the reply!. Yes, there inclusion list is what makes me consider them as the builder. I still haven't signed any formal contract with them, only put a reservation, but still waiting for the contract. I could not find anything at all about this particular builder though. No mention about this builder in this site other than your post. I'm still trying to gather more information/feedback on them. Specifically on things like,
Given you are still new to the build process, you might not be able to answer these questions as well . I'm too am looking for a land in Colebee. Re: Building with OpalSS Construction 6Jun 04, 2021 11:24 am Hi ranti13 and curiousb, Actually I am looking to buy a H&L in Sandstone Ridge Stage 3 through Waratah Estate Agency and the builder they have suggested me is OpalSS Constructions. I wanted to check if you guys did build OpalSS and how was your overall experience. Like you guys I also liked the inclusion list offered by OpalSS and have met the owner once and overall had good first impression. Its just that I'm not 100% sure as I don't know anyone who have build with them and their overall experience. I would really appreciate if you could share your experiences with me and any pointer that I should be considering while going with OpalSS. Thanks, Re: Building with OpalSS Construction 7Jun 07, 2021 5:55 pm Hi kdc3119 , I did not end up building with them. I too was looking to building with OpalSS with Waratah in Sandstone ridge. I ended up not building with them because I found out that the taps and bedroom cupboards to be of cheap brands in the build Waratah showcased me. But to call it out clearly, I don't have much experience with them, so do take my words with a grain of salt. Hope you get better information on this soon. Thanks, Hi kdc3119, My experience so far with them has been really good. I'm on Third stage of the building process. They are very flexible of any modification / upgrades. Happy with the progress, I bought the land through Waratah Estate as well, Also a great bunch of people to deal with. I heard some horror story with builders, So far my experience is pretty smooth. I would recommend them. I would be posting a final review once I move in to share the detail experience. Hope this helps. Cheers!
