Browse Forums Building A New House Re: meeting your SS 10Oct 16, 2008 12:12 pm We met with our SS onsite when set out was done, to go over the plans with him. Weren't very thrilled with him, he didn't even know what our house looked like and had forgotten our plans. I would definately meet with your SS as he's the one supervising? your build and if there are problems he's the one in charge. You'll get an idea of whether he is going to build you a good house. Supposedly you only meet your SS at setout, at plate height or roof cover and then at lock-up for a walk thru. then we had a tile meeting to check the tiles were correct and how they are to be laid. and then not til final walk thru. but we saw ours all the time as our house build was built by two year olds and had to be rebuilt 3 times! SS was sacked for not doing his job! So meet with him but keep your eyes on your own build and do alot of SS-ing yourselves!
