Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 09, 2021 2:24 pm Hi Has anyone installed stacker doors that slide back into a cavity within the wall? Looking to install stacking doors from living/dining area to outdoor room which are approx 7 metres. Understand there would need to be certain engineering required for the cavity but curious if anyone else has done this and approx costs involved(on top of the cost of the panels). If it's too exe I'll just go with the sliding panels that slide/stack back against fixed panels. I am also interested to learn how you plan to handle 7 m flyscreens (in which configuration?) on a daily basis. Re: Cavity Stacker Doors 7Jul 29, 2021 11:43 pm we have 2.7x3.2m corner stacker (so 6.4m of double glazed doors) they open / slide perfectly fine. hard for a 2 year old, but my 7yo nephew can open them. approx 7m would be roughly 3.5m doors, assuming they are 2.4m height thats actually less glass then mine, don't see the issue. you can also get retracable screens they cover great length. ZL2 for example covers 13m. Interesting...
