Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Terrible form from my builder… 3Jul 04, 2021 2:52 pm Pulse begs the question why windows are uncovered and on site before the frames…. Said the same thing, I was going to lift the windows onto timber and cover them. Not going to take the risk of them trying to blame me for damage 🤷🏻♂️ Re: Terrible form from my builder… 4Jul 05, 2021 6:02 am Kaleb That is terrible programming and something we see all too often. The timber on the windows wont last till October. Unfortunately they are going to need to go back to the factory. I toured a major window manufacturer just before the pandemic and they have a yard of roughly 400 sqm that was stacked full of windows that had been sent back due to issues like this. So unfortunately its a very common problem especially with the project home guys who have junior production estimators that are calling up purchase orders too early. Anyway, it's your house and you want brand new windows so insist on them being sent back and refurbished before installation good luck Simeon Architectural Homes & Duplexes - specialising in custom designing homes to your budget Get a Free Onsite Consultation Today or send a PM for information, questions or advice. Re: Terrible form from my builder… 5Jul 06, 2021 4:59 pm Kaleb How great is the pooling of water in my garage and to top it off our MDF windows have been sitting in it for the last week.. And timber for our house is delayed till October 🎉🤦🏻♂️ Fun times Wow can't believe they are making window frames out of MDF now?! Waiting for the interest rates to go down is also waiting for the building prices to go up, you will likely lose. Perhaps you can get the builder to lock up stage, but… 4 3725 I couldn't attached the photo for some reason. Here is the link to the photo https://pin.it/79jwdMp 1 3163 |
