Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 25, 2021 2:22 pm I bought the house and land package from the builder. My neighbor who built beside me already put up the fence on the zero lot line/boundary before I even signed for the land transfer. The big issue came up a few months later at the end of the lockup stage, the site admin emailed to request the homeowner to remove the fencing for them to build the garage brick wall which was set on the zero lot line. By right, the builder or building surveyor should have removed the fence at the beginning of the build or before the slab pour. Now, the builder had built the garage brick on top of the timber posts. Due to the concrete slab surrounding the timber posts, the trade only able to cut off the timber posts without damage the slab. I am very concerned about the timber posts underneath the brick wall may be decayed and affect the house structure. The builder refused to rectify the defects in this case. If anyone has any idea please help. 🙏 I am building in claymore NSW and this is shown in the building envelope plan. … 0 9970 You must be new to the internet.
