First time builder here!
I'm in the process of working out the details of a tender with GJ (Liverpool), however Zac - who I'd previously enquired with - got back in contact with me and have said they can beat GJ's tender by approx. $20k. I think the difference will actually be a lot more than this since Zac's allowances for certain items are much more than what we need. The difference may end up being ~$90k (budget was 750-800k).
My questions are (a) is this too good to be true? (b) would I be able to use what Zac said to awkwardly ask GJ to bring their price down, or is this not generally done in the industry? (c) does this seem a bit desperate on Zac's part (d) anyone had experience with either builder, good or bad?
Any advice is appreciated, thank you!
