Hi all,
Building a new house and ceiling height was 2590mm but due to not being able to cut at the right of the land there is now a step up to my lounge room meaning the ceiling height for all downstairs is around 3 metres (with lounge still 2590mm).
This means that as below where I have drawn a line the window to study (left of front door) and lounge/games is not in alignment due to differing slab heights. The left and right of home were previously symmetrical with same windows top and bottom aligned.
From the 3D perspective it looks OK but I just wanted opinions if this was OK or if I should perhaps change the lounge window to be completely different? Or perhaps french doors to the study?
Also for my doors they were raised initially from standard to 2340 to suit the 2590 ceilings. Should I raise them even higher now? There is only 7 downstairs (front door, powder, laundry, garage, understairs storage and 2 for butlers pantry).
I was going to raise my window heights from 2100 to 2400 as well or should I go higher? Kitchen cabinetry is also already raised to 2400.
Thanks,
