Browse Forums Building A New House Re: NSW Hills District - Knock Down Rebuild 2Apr 21, 2021 8:02 am Lion Hi All, I'm looking for recommendations of a builder for a knock down rebuild / new build in the hills district. It'll be helpful if you have undertaken a build that had to accommodate - A House that needed to be raised (Due to one in one hundred year food) - Flexible with customisations What is your Post build experience ? - Replacements due to damage / issues found out later - Finally your overall satisfaction out of 5 *Name of the builder Lion There are some good builders based in the Hills. Really comes down to you budget. If you have $1.5m then I would speak to Homestead or Chateau, even Meadowbank who are based on the lower north shore build a really nice home. $1.7-2 million you could speak to Oppidan etc It also comes down to the style of home you are after as generally most builders have specialties and niches that the operate it. Can I recommend that you make time to go a meet a few preferably in your home so they can get to know you and your family, go and visit some of their builds that are under construction just to see how well they are run. For example, I have been past a number of Meadowbank and Homestead sites and they keep them immaculate which tells me that they are well organised and care. and lastly speak to a few past clients.
