I keep hearing of major construction delays/shortage due to rush on building with the HomeBuilder grant (which has now expired 31/03/21). I am also concerned that builders will be more inclined to cut corners for the next year due to the backlog. We're in Perth and haven't purchased any land yet. Just wondering whether to start the process and hope things have calmed down a bit by the time we lock something in, or just stay clear for a while? We have signed up with supposedly one of the biggest Home builders in WA (Volume wise I suppose) and they are struggling big time to even get surveys done!! More than a month and half gone (and counting) for my site to get surveyed! In saying that, if you find a land that really suits your requirements, then you can always get it.
