Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 26, 2021 7:06 pm Can’t believe I’m saying this- but I might be about to sell our still new-ish (4 year old) home to do it all over again! I’m wondering which volume builders allow owner supplied items such as basins, taps and appliances. Not sure if this is something that’s offered by most volume builders now but thought I got lucky last time around when I was allowed to pick anything I wanted from Reece, and could even owner supply my vanities, basins and floor tiles. Re: Who has flexibility for Owner supplied items? 3Mar 27, 2021 8:05 pm I'm building with GJ Gardner and am supplying my own rangehood, they've also allowed me to just pick anything from Reece for plumbing fixtures and fittings. I didn't ask to supply anything else as i was happy with the options and the few things i considered they ended up pricing it with installation cheaper than i could buy it retail anyway. Re: Who has flexibility for Owner supplied items? 4May 03, 2021 7:20 am Hi Spazzen, Coul you please advise with which G.J.Gardner office you are going with. Am in Sydney and thinking of going with G.J.Gardner Hawkesbury. How is your experience with them so far. Are they on par with other volume builders like WISDOM, CLARENDON and RAWSON. Thx Re: Who has flexibility for Owner supplied items? 5May 03, 2021 9:08 pm Venkata Hi Spazzen, Coul you please advise with which G.J.Gardner office you are going with. Am in Sydney and thinking of going with G.J.Gardner Hawkesbury. How is your experience with them so far. Are they on par with other volume builders like WISDOM, CLARENDON and RAWSON. Thx I'm pretty far from Sydney, building with GJ's in Mildura. I've started a thread for my build where I've discussed the experience so far. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=102255 The only thing they havent been willing to do so far was install a certain model of gas heater, they wanted to use a different brand so I had them put provision for the gas connection and i'll get it installed after handover. Everything else i've wanted to do was doable. The best advice is for you to get a competent building consultant to guide you through your build 7 4646 The significant date is when receive final payment invoice Check that section of contract Bit of fluff by builders prior to that 1 15830 |
