Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 21, 2021 1:37 pm Hi, Six month warranty period is over and I submitted four pages of requests and as I am not a builder and do not know the level of quality expected I need to ask this forum: 1 At the end of pavers belonging to the driveway they are secured via concrete unless they abut the brick wall. Q.: My row of pavers has moved (tilted into the sand) as they are not supported via concrete next to a PVC drain. Can I expect the pavers to be supported as part of that six-month warranty? 2 Having installed 10mm gyprock ceilings I have watched our new ones and in our new build I can see the outlines of many joints over the entire length. The joints were probably still wet when painting occured. Q.: Can I expect that to be repainted or not? As there is still a bit of ceiling paint here, would that mean having to paint the entire ceilings and therefore would be rejected as a warranty job? 3 There is no insulation on top of the man hole cover. Q.: Can I expect that to have been done? 4 Assuming an LED light is in the middle of an R5 ceiling insulation batt. The batt has simply been folded back and taped for security. How close can I place the insulation to the LED lights as I would like most of the ceiling to be covered without burning the place down? 5 Paint is separating from two doors at the lintel and there is a crack in the plaster below a window sill, can I expect that to be repainted? So many questions, so little time! Thanks. yep sounds good make the footing bigger to to allow for the pipe in the middle 3 7250 Plumbers 'can be' plumbers, made all the worse by self certification which the building surveyor invariably accepts as proof of compliance!
