Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 10, 2008 12:02 pm We have just got a letter from NBG telling us that after our contracts are drawn up we need to get developer approval ourselves if our block requires it.
How do you know if you need developer approval? Our block is in a newish estate, although we are one of the last houses to build there. Is it in the section 32 somewhere? I don't even know who the developer is! Re: How do you know if you need developer approval? 2Oct 10, 2008 1:14 pm Hi Velcro,
It should definately be in the section 32. Usually towards the back of the section 32 will be design guidelines, if any. If you are in a newer estate there is usually design guidelines that require developer approval. The details of the developer should be there aswell. Have a good read and I'm sure you'll find it in there without too much trouble. Re: How do you know if you need developer approval? 3Oct 10, 2008 1:43 pm Thanks,
In the restrictions there is one which states that we shall not: 'erect construct or build upon any part of the land transferred without obtaining from the transferor its prior written approval'. There is a letterhead for Bosco Jonson, on that page, is this the developer then? Apart from the letter head, everything else refers to the local council. 1 2989 Hi Minho I have heaps of experience in Ku-ring-gai with both DAs and CDC ( this is the main area we build in).
