Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 28, 2021 9:27 pm I’m down to the final change on the plan, after 5 months and over 300 changes I just want to sign the damn contract! Entry Bulkhead, people with an experienced eye for this when looking at plans please chime in on how to make this look the best! There is an alcove that has its own 265d bulkhead, I will remove yellow marked bulkhead as it runs straight into it. Entry bulkhead is 120d Thanks in advance Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Entry bulkhead design help needed! 2Mar 02, 2021 2:01 pm which facade is this? And is that a balcony over the portico? Re: Entry bulkhead design help needed! 4Mar 02, 2021 2:33 pm so are you looking for suggestions for the bulkhead next to side entry (the one next to alcove in yellow? Re: Entry bulkhead design help needed! 5Mar 02, 2021 4:06 pm The area where the understairs door in existing design has a 265mm bulkhead if we put a 2340 under stairs door this wont work. I also want the door height for powder, garage, living/study openings to all match etc so cannot reduce understairs door height. Area marked with red – this is a 265d bulkhead running right into the middle of the alcove, this wont work either The kitchen/entry border must have a 265d bulkhead (blue) so this lines up with rest of kitchen bulkhead etc Thoughts are: Yellow areas change to full 120d bulkhead – you will not see different pockets of ceiling other than main entry hallway Understairs door has the full 120mm bulkhead to deal with the 2340 height door (should be ok and should hopefully line up with power/garage/living and study openings?) Blue is 200mm wide 265d bulkhead, allows room for 720w lin10 door (2340) and looks ok from kitchen side Re: Entry bulkhead design help needed! 6Mar 03, 2021 10:46 am Bcr83 The area where the understairs door in existing design has a 265mm bulkhead if we put a 2340 under stairs door this wont work. Why not remove then from everywhere and that will also make the house more roomy, Also, why are you putting a door under the stairs? There is lots of storage space in your house. You dont really need another store in this big house Thanks for sharing. Looks good. The joiner has come back with a quote of close to 5k. I think we are going to not do it. Attaching panelling is something they are dead… 11 10095 I ran into trouble finding a lock that would fit my particular door, like your situation with your pivot door. I wanted a safe lock that couldn't be messed with easily. 4 25700 Black on light wood does look good. Not sure if it will be as long lasting as a steel finish? 6 4601 |
