It can get stinky if not cleaned out and if you have ever seen pads with mould you'd think twice about getting that in your home. Imagine all the spores blowing around. Not only that as much as people say "oh you just have to open windows", you're going to get humidity in the home which can ruin not only your furniture but the walls and paint and what not.
Please please rethink evap cooling. Re: Double Storey Evaporative Cooling 3Feb 27, 2021 9:28 am Have to agree with the above. My parents have evap and it feels disgusting. For 12 squares get a decent split system and enjoy the benefits of nice clean dry air and the added bonus of heating if required. Re: Double Storey Evaporative Cooling 4Feb 27, 2021 9:32 am Abie03 Hi! Does anyone know how much to install evaporative cooling on first floor of a 2 storey? First floor is just about 12sq? Where do you live? If in Perth you should be able to do that for ~$2k. Although for 12 sqm I'd be looking at a split R/C . A 2.6KW job should be OK for such a small space. You could buy one and have it fitted for less than the cost of the evap. 1 4561 Hi Kristy Around $1.7-1.8m or around $4,600/sqm. if you PM me your email I will send you a break up in a spreadsheet so you can get an understanding of the costs for… 1 9925 Surrey Hills, Vic 3127 Garage is being built with metal, 3m distance away from my cover deck.
