Just wondering if anyone has used these walls as part of their build? http://www.modularwalls.com.au/gardenwalls.shtml C&G -------------------------------- A new building chapter begins.. Re: Anyone used Modular Walls? 2Oct 10, 2008 8:40 am I haven't - but I've seen the GardenWall product up close and it is fantastic!
We were originally looking into it for our boundary fence with our neighbour - original estate requirements were for a masonry (brick of similar) wall - I think about $200/m installed. After 4 years - we're in! Re: Anyone used Modular Walls? 3Oct 13, 2008 6:21 pm I LOVE this stuff
We were thinking of using it in our place, but fencing was already included as part of the estate, so we thought we'd leave it as is. If I had to put fencing myself I would use this without a second thought. It looks really stylish, isn't too expensive, and can be dressed up with lights and capping. Plus it's sound resistant as well. Re: Anyone used Modular Walls? 4Oct 13, 2008 8:08 pm thanks for the feedback guys... will take a closer look. they'll show you how you can kick a soccer ball full tilt at the fence and it will still be ok! After 4 years - we're in! Re: Anyone used Modular Walls? 7Oct 14, 2008 9:52 pm I like the look of this product. Anyone who has it do you see the join where consecutive panels are used (one panel ontop of eachother to gain the required height) and is it much more cost effective than a brick wall?
thanks Re: Anyone used Modular Walls? 8Oct 15, 2008 6:31 am I think it's produced in sheets the height you need - so unless you're building a wall higher than 1.8m - I don't think there is a joint.
Compared to brick wall - half the cost based on a quote a few yrs ago. After 4 years - we're in!
