Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 29, 2021 4:47 pm Hi all , Brother and I have just purchased a little over an acre block south of Perth and are intending to build a family home for myself a granny flat for Ma and my brother, and naturally the best shed in the world!!! Am looking for information on both kit and modular homes. Costs (hidden/ up front) Inclusions / Exclusions What to be aware of Catches you have found and last but not least, recommended companies, doesn't matter where they are as long as they can provide services to WA. Thanks in advance Mel Re: Kit or Modular Pros and Cons 2Feb 02, 2021 12:08 am We just built a modified ‘Saltbox’ granny flat from a company called ‘Evoke’ out of Northam. It’s a lovely modern number and we constantly get compliments. It was the only modern steel framed granny we looked at that was reasonably priced. The building process was not without it’s issues but none that were terrible - and all rectified by the builder. It IS very modern so may not be to your taste but they have a number of other more traditional designs, including proper houses.
