Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 09, 2008 2:54 pm Hey guys, we have just been for our quotation appointment with NBG and have signed off on getting our plans drawn up. Yay!
Site costs came in a bit higher than expected at $21,000, but the overall cost is $226,000 with absolutely everything we wanted so we are very very happy. So, we had a look through the colour world selections, and the only thing we can't agree on is the bricks. We absolutely want a colorbond surfmist roof, our house is colonial facade, and we are having white windows with maybe paperbark or similar for the gutters. My husband really likes the boral brick port phillip. The only problem is that surfmist isnt a really popular colour for roofs here, and of the two we've found they have a more red brick. (which I like, but trying to be political here!). The boral lady pretty much said it would look terrible, but I think she just hates surmist because every brick there she said would look bad with it. Is there a web site I can look at and put in surmist roof and this brick? Re: Got site costs, and q about Boral Port Phillip bricks? 2Oct 09, 2008 8:08 pm Hi Velcro,
Boral has a program called Boral colorvision that they can put brick color and all other external colors together (including driveways etc). As far as I know, you can only access this at their display rooms. Did they have this??? http://www.boral.com.au/HG/products/bri ... den_Bricks It's listed here on their site. Cheer Bel Still not in. Don't ask!? Re: Got site costs, and q about Boral Port Phillip bricks? 3Oct 10, 2008 8:48 am Thanks, no, they didnt have that, or even a display at the moment because they are renovating.
We are going to go for a drive to the next nearest display which of course is a long way away. I may have convinced him to go for something more mid range tone. We both like Kimberley, but I think will have to wait till we see a display and use that program you mentioned. Well these guys are not looking good... I sent them a written enquiry last week and they have not yet replied. If they cannot respond to a simple… 4 8463 I looked into it a few years ago and my conclusion was to just build a carport that will support panels and get a system installed separately. Most of Perth has class A (sandy soil), except for some areas near rivers or hills. 2 8256 |
