Building A New House

Hi everyone, looking for advice from those of you who've had to progress a BAL assessment. We've been assessed as 12.5 (ember attack) which is all okay but the assessor has said we need a 4x8 meter handstand and turning bay for 2 firetrucks at the front of our property. Not what we're expecting. We'll have two water tanks (drinking & firefighting). Has anyone else encountered issues with the assessment and how have you dealt with the assessor? We're building on a 668 m2 block so this set back + turning bay is going to be ugly and expensive to construct. Any advice, guidance would be appreciated.
