Sorry Southies, I probably should have explained a litte clearer! The height of your pillars at the side of your house! The taller ones! It looks as though you have 21 or 22 courses, so just wondering what the measured height of the pillars are. I rang the Council this morning, I don't need a permit, but I have to apply for dispensation to build a fence higher than 1.2m That alone will cost me $172. I want it roughly 1.5m, and there is no guarantee they will let me despite the fee Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!! Is that what you were after ? Although I think I will have a fight on my hands just trying to get ANY fence built out the front. Damn Council.... Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!! I found the same problem when trying to manage it all myself and it all got too hard. Once the building company took over, he had his own person who could issue such permits on behalf of council (maybe a surveyor?? not sure) and we didn't have to worry about any of the permit side of things. edited to add: oh and how good was George Michael last night (sorry for hijack southies! ) "Your emotions are the slaves to your thoughts, and you are the slave to your emotions." — Elizabeth Gilbert Living in our new house. George Michael was sensational! Not as 'polished' as his Sydney show, so I am so glad I saw that too, but a true master craftsman none the less....and a hottie!! (with a voice from heaven!) Now don't get excited, there's not much difference, but there IS a difference ! For those of you who want to see the results of trimming murrayas to create a hedge, the following pics are of the 1st 'haircut' & 2 months later. They're coming along nicely with the help of seasol & powerfeed. Would love to have a little more progress but I haven't bought the molasses yet. Maybe in a fortnight.
