Hey guys
Is the structural engineer who designed the slab plan for a new build required to inspection the piers and issue a slab certification document during construction?
Is this document required by the Certifier?
We are in NSW.
Many thanks!

I'm wondering about other additional certifications required for new buildings apart from slab certification. I tried googeling my question over the internet and I got a large list of certificates that I've never even heard of like: BREEAM, Green Globes, Living Building, Zero Energy, Parksmart??? Some articles also state that structural engineers and everybody involved in the construction process require to be certified PMP professionals to qualify?? I googled that and I don't even know what the page is all about... Are these things I need to ask for additionally? Is this even accurate? Thank you Re: New Home - Slab Certification by Engineer 4Jan 12, 2021 2:22 pm Depends - however, a structural certificate is not always required although it usually is. Also, usually, an Engineer will inspect - however, certifiers can also complete this inspections for/on behalf of the Engineer. He will issue a certificate to the building surveyor. Only an engineer can provide the certification.
