Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 19, 2022 9:51 am Hey all, Need some advise on next steps. We are in the process of building a property in Ballarat with B A Murphy constructions, they have gone into liquidation as of December. We were at the last stage of the build, and the final stage payment was left out. Contract was for a turn key build. We have not received the Occupancy Permit as some bits have not been completed as per the requirements. Also been reading they have not paid the sub contractors for a while. This has left us in a bit of a concern as we have run out of funds from the lender and ourselves. We are going to apply for a insurance claim to recoup some funds to complete the build to the stage it was to have been done. With the certificates required to obtain Occupancy Permit, what is the best way to find out the contactors who worked on the house and get the certificates for the permit from them? We tried to contact the site supervisor route but did not work out. Thank you NR Re: New build in progress, B A Murphy Liquidation 2Feb 19, 2022 11:19 am 46fan We are going to apply for a insurance claim to recoup some funds to complete the build to the stage it was to have been done.
