Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 02, 2020 6:47 am Hi There, We just received our first sketch for our new home and looking for any input from the experts here; The block is 18m x 36m, northwest facing and we wanted to utilise the width with the bigger garage (and store my cars of course). Any input would be appreciated. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Input on our house plan - First draft received 2Dec 02, 2020 9:21 am Can you consider cavity sliders to lounge? Gives more options for furnishings etc And possibly linen cupboards too, makes it easy to tidy without blocking passageways Re: Input on our house plan - First draft received 3Dec 02, 2020 9:28 am ![]() Can you consider cavity sliders to lounge? Just wondering like others have said why you don't move the laundry and save the extra corridor and even lengthen your kitchen out as there is a big gap from kitchen to fridge? And give a tiny bit more depth to your living area. Tried to show you what I mean...hope its visible. Now there is a fairly big blank space where your extra linen was which could be a store room, powder room mud room??? Agree about the wasted space where the linen is, you could add a powder room or drop zone area too, and just have a normal wardrobe in bed 2. Sorry I misread....you want to cut 20sqm (I read it that you had already) remove the rear void and put the master bedroom there? I think to take out 20sqm you would have… 8 1318 ![]() Housing is a walk in the park compared to Commercial builds It's piecemeal work-> Unit work completed per day-> measured in time or units OT, I'd go bankrupt if I paid… 5 1276 ![]() 13 4763 ![]() |
