Thanks icat2000, we're intending to post more regularly now that we are due to start in the next few weeks. Finance approvals has been a long drawn out process. We are completing the retaining walls ourselves, so these hopefully will be completed in the next couple of weeks. We do have an instagram page. We will be posting here and on instagram for those interested: https://www.instagram.com/buildingourmo ... We've been fairly happy so far with the build process with Simonds. I would definitely recommend them. There has been some hiccups since we're undertaking our own earthworks and retaining walls. But Simonds were accomadating in allowing us to complete these works ourselves in the first place. Trying to get as much inspiration for our build as possible Re: Simonds Moroak 24 Sloping Block Build 13Apr 07, 2022 9:51 am DanielAndEden jamesfitz93 DanielAndEden Hi guys! My partner and I are building the Simonds Moroak 24 in Melbourne's West. Have recieved a lot of inspiration and ideas from different posts on Homeone. Looking to document our process, potentially get some ideas and create general discussion around the build. There isn't posts relating to the Moroak, so we just want to share our experience! Sounds great! We are interested in the moroak as well, waiting on land to be titled. What size block are you building on? And did you make many alterations/add ons? Cheers! James and Bell Hi James and Bell! Very exciting guys. Are you located in VIC? Our block is 722m2. Due to the sloping nature of our land, we had to create a building pad for the house itself. In terms of alterations and add ons, we upgraded to the embark package (additonal down lights, upgraded flooring, stone benches, more cupboards, brick over windows, remote garage, better appliances, etc). Also paid the extra for the alfresco (doesn't come standard). Gallery upgrades included double vanity in ensuite, bigger shower, extra cabinents in bathroom and kitchen, flipped floor plan and a lot more smaller details. Let me know if you have anymore questions Hi, we are interested in building the Moroak too. Can we see your updated floor plan? Is there a display home for this design? Give Jonathan a call. Tell him you know me. He is in my opinion the best surveyor I have ever worked with. First, out the front of the house is a sloping hill, pretty… 0 20152 |
